We are a 5 Star Team: Core Behaviors for Creating a Culture of Care
About the Session
Campus Dining is not just about providing meals—it’s about creating a space where students feel safe, valued, and cared for. As full-time staff members, we are on the front lines of student experiences, and our daily interactions can directly impact their sense of belonging and well-being on campus. This interactive workshop will focus on five core behaviors—safety, teamwork, accountability, respect, and stewardship—that are essential to fostering a culture of care and excellence within campus dining and, more broadly, Student Affairs.
During this 45-minute session, participants will engage in hands-on activities that explore how these five behaviors contribute to both a positive work environment and an enriched student experience. Through real-world examples and group discussions, attendees will leave with practical tools they can apply to their daily work.
