About the Session

The content of this presentation is derived from the successful practices implemented in our department. We have utilized these objectives and processes to effectively evaluate our staff and provide enriching experiences that contribute to their professional and personal growth. Our approach is grounded in the belief that students benefit immensely from expanding their knowledge and experience beyond their job descriptions through events, mentorship, and various forms of engagement. This session is highly relevant to campus recreation and Student Affairs as a whole as it addresses the continuous development of student staff, a crucial factor in enhancing the potential of our programs and services. By sharing their experiences with peers, student staff play a key role in our department's success. The practices and strategies presented in this session are based on a combination of internal evaluations and established best practices. However, all of the information, practices and ideas shared in this presentation can be applicable to anyone in the Student Affairs division, especially those who work directly with students.
