UREC Team Completes Inclusive Training Offered by the American Red Cross
The professional staff and graduate assistants recently completed a new American Red Cross certifying course titled “Instructor Inclusive Training: Creating an Inclusive Learning Environment.”
Macy Penland, GA for fitness had this to say about the class, “I just completed the inclusion training. I thought it was very beneficial and needs to be completed by everyone to expand their knowledge on how to handle situations while also being inclusive. I learned a lot and feel more confident about teaching my CPR classes!”
Appalachian State University was honored last spring at the American Red Cross Recognition event for being one of the top providers in the country. Top providers that were recognized trained over 200 participants. We trained 233 student employees In Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR/AED in 2021/22.
