College Recovery Community (CRC) Grant

Wellness and Prevention Services is excited to announce they have been awarded a $262,549 grant from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services for the purpose of supporting students who have – or who are at risk for developing- substance use disorders through the development of comprehensive recovery programs. They will be partnering with University Recreation and Campus Activities to provide sober social event opportunities for students in recovery and their allies. In addition, this grant will allow Wellness and Prevention Services to expand their recovery support programs through creation of a recovery lounge, additional ally training opportunities, development of a peer mentoring program, and more.

If you have any questions about our Collegiate Recovery Programming, or would like to refer a student, please contact Miller Faw at fawma@appstate.edu.
