Nominate Students for CEL Programs!

The Office of Community-Engaged Leadership (CEL) engages Appalachian State University students in academic, experiential, and community-oriented programs that enhance their capacity to serve and lead in socially-responsible ways for the benefit of their local and global communities. CEL currently has applications for two student groups that support this mission: The LEAD Team and Serve Team.

The Serve Team students coordinate and promote sponsored community projects and events, facilitate presentations and reflection sessions, and engage the campus in awareness and education of social issues. Members volunteer on various branches of involvement including Alternative Service Experiences, App State Voter Coalition, Blood Drive Committee and Days of Service Committee! View full position description HERE.

The LEAD Team is a group of student leadership educators who facilitate leadership workshops and conferences, promote leadership programming on campus, and develop leadership capacity individually and among other students. View full position description HERE.

Do you have a student that you think would be a great fit for one (or both) of these roles? We strongly encourage you to nominate them! To nominate students for the Serve Team, please email Carly May. To nominate students for the LEAD Team, please email Ashley Borders. The Office of Community-Engaged Leadership thanks you for your support during this busy time!
