Until Help Arrives; Being Prepared for Workplace Emergencies
About the Session
This session will be a refresher to prepare staff to handle workplace emergencies that may occur on campus in order to ensure safety of self, co- workers, students and others until help
arrives. This session will also give an overview of workplace emergencies through reviewing scenarios and case studies.
Session II, Roan Mtn., Room 122
Learning Outcomes
1. Because of this engagement, each participant will be able to identify guidelines for appropriately managing workplace emergencies and assisting others until help arrives.
2. Each participant will learn steps in developing an Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and will be encouraged to set up or update EAP’s for their department.
3. Each participant will be able take part in evaluating their actions by practicing scenarios and reviewing case studies in workplace emergencies.
4. Each participant will be able to identify at least three resources where they can obtain additional training to prepare for workplace emergencies.
