Add UREC to Your Toolbox

About the Session

University Recreation provides structured and unstructured opportunities targeted for the Appalachian community. It is through these opportunities that students, faculty, staff and families learn life-long skills that contribute to their social, physical, emotional, and intellectual growth and development. Through utilization of programs and facilities, UREC contributes to the Appalachian wellness initiative.

Everyone is welcome to take advantage of both intentional and informal opportunities to recreate. Additional costs to participate are minimal, if at all. Programs are meant to serve a wide range of individuals ensuring there is something for everyone. Passionate professional and student staff are readily available to assist in any way possible through consultation, guidance or even as a partner during the experience.

This session will provide information about a few UREC facilities and programs. We will offer suggestions for your next steps in taking advantage of these opportunities and how to incorporate these opportunities into your role on campus. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss and brainstorm the incorporation of UREC into their personal lives and how UREC can benefit their initiative to provide a positive student experience.
