Writing Student Learning & Development Outcomes: The Basics
About the Session
Student Learning and Development Outcomes (SLDOs) provide a compass for what we want students to know, think, and do differently as a result of our educational interventions/touchpoints.
Outcomes help you:
Describe your intent, and opportunities for collaboration, communicate direction to those who are implementing strategies designed to achieve outcomes (e.g. student leaders), and communicate impact to stakeholders; outcomes also help students articulate what they are learning (Henning & Roberts, 2016).
