About the Session

This session will provide an overview of how suicide prevention training at Appalachian State University has evolved.
This session will also provide an overview of what was considered when choosing to change suicide prevention programming.
Lastly, the session will provide participants an opportunity to think about how they might be systematic and intentional regarding their own program changes.

Learning Outcomes

As a result of this engagement:

1.  Participants will be able to identify at least three reasons why suicide prevention training has changed over time at Appalachian State University.
2.  Participants will be able to list at least 3 different options for suicide prevention training at Appalachian State University.
3.  Participants will leave with a plan for how to use data to drive programmatic development.
4.  Participants will identify one of their own programs that they should explore the feasibility of updating.
