Saturday, February 26th, Meet in Parkway Ballroom @ 9:00am

Join Us for MLK Day of Service ~ Make it a Day On, Not a Day Off ~

For over two decades, the MLK Day of Service has invited hundreds of students to participate in an opportunity for service, reflection and education. In this one-day event, participants are urged to consider their impact and greater role in the world around them. Honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. by donating a few hours of your time at a local non-profit on Saturday, February 26th, 2022. Volunteers will meet on campus at 9:00 am for service kickoff, serve at a local nonprofit from 10 am-1 pm, and return to campus for lunch and reflection until 2 pm. Lunch and transportation will be provided! Interested folks can rsvp here on engage. A great way to get those service hours in!

An Evening with Bakari Sellers 

App State will host a keynote presentation by political analyst, lawyer and activist Bakari Sellers in commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The presentation will be followed by a brief question-and-answer session.

Annual Diversity Celebration call for programming

Greetings!

The planning for the 21st Annual Diversity Celebration (April 5 -7) at Appalachian State University is underway. This year the planning committee is asking for the participation of units, programs, individuals, and groups to keep the celebration going all semester. Please consider completing the Diversity Celebration Call for Programming, if you would like to cross-promote your event or program as a part of this year's Diversity Celebration. We are looking for a wide variety of programming to promote as a part of this campus-wide annual celebration.
